Set of 16 volumes, each is two stories = 32 stories! These are flip-books, you turn them over and the other side is the front of another story. These are in good condition, moderate wear with a bit a fraying to tips and edges, bumped corners, small scars, bright and clean edges are good to near perfect, binding secure, minimal if any dogears. NO DAMP! They are 7 9/16" tall, the multi-colored bindings make a wonderful presentation on display. All have the colorful wavy striped endpapers. They were published 1963 - 1967. TITLES ARE (shown with a dash between to indicate they are bound together): The Call of the Wild - Black Beauty; Huckleberry Finn - The Adventures of Tom Sawyer; The Swiss Family Robinson - Robinson Crusoe; The Jungle Book - The Wizard of Oz; The Little Lame Prince - The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood; Just So Stories - The Prince and the Pauper; Little Men - Little Women; Gulliver's Travels - Treasure Island; A Dog of Flanders - Tom Sawyer Abroad; Edward Lear's Nonsense Book - A Wonder Book (Greek myths and legends); Kidnapped - Tom Sawyer, Detective; The Story of King Arthur and His Knights - The Adventures of Pinocchio; Anderson's Fairy Tales - Grimms' Fairy Tales; Heidi - Hans Brinker; Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass - Five Little Peppers and How they Grew; Aesop's Fables - Arabian Nights. Several of the volumes have penciled price, 1 had a flower pressed in the end and stained the endpapers, 2 have a name inside. Grimms/Anderson volume has been mended, torn endpaper taped slightly weak binding re-glued, but one title page is missing. Although these books do have various mild flaws they were checked and double-checked for scribbles, spills, cuts or missing pages, weak binding, etc. You will be very happy with this lovely set.
